Provide guidance to attorneys and firm personnel regarding any current or potential conflict of interest issues, including business, positional, subject matter and playbook conflicts. Consult with partners to facilitate quick resolution of conflict issues and draft appropriate screening memoranda, engagement agreements and various waiver/disclosure documents to resolve conflict issues. Review and analyze outside counsel guidelines and non-standard engagement agreements to identify potential issues and assist with drafting exceptions as required. Conduct independent corporate and legal research as necessary to identify and resolve conflicts. Keep abreast of new developments, rules and/or court decisions governing conflicts of interest and professional responsibility issues. Identify potential conflict issues to support the firm’s business developments efforts, as needed.
