About Robin Schramm

Current Passion Project: I’m making a comprehensive POSIX shell using C and the termcaps library. I’ve already finished re-writing my own readline function, command history tracker, keyboard event shortcuts, copy/cut/paste hotkeys, shell builtins, and simple command execution. Right now I’m in the process of writing a Lexer and Parser. These two functions will tokenize shell syntax and transform it into an abstract syntax tree. This process will enable command-preemption (back quotes), multiple command pipes, IO redirections, and basic shell scripting. So far my shell utilizes the following data structures: structs, embedded structs, linked lists (double and single), binary trees, singletons, and a basic memory management system.
