About Robin Nobling
As a NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Executive Director, I like knowing that each day I have the potential to make a positive impact on someone\'s life. I love that I work within a local circle of dedicated diverse people who care as deeply as I do about the impact mental health issues on wellbeing. I am fortunate to be surrounded by a professional community that has embraced the work we do at NAMI Davidson County in support of persons and families who may just be starting a journey, that though it seems impossible now, may actually enrich their lives later. As an individual, I join with other individuals to make at impact at local, state and national levels to develop policies and programs that will make living a with a health condition affecting the brain, just that a health condition. I love working to make the playing field equitable to all regardless of age, race, gender, faith, culture and socio-economic status. I do this as a member of the Mayor\'s Behavioral Health Wellnes Advisory Council, the Chair of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS) Region IV Policy and Planning Council, a member of the TDMHSAS State Executive Council, and a member of the Suicide Prevention in the African American Faith Community Coalition. Join me in working with people as humans, not as walking diagnoses.
