Product Development: Source new materials, different craftsmanship and product types. Source new vendors for existing & new product categories. Implement and maintain development calendar with suppliers and design. Pass off design pitches and tech packs to suppliers. Gather product packaging guidelines from suppliers, work with design to finalize the artwork and pass off to suppliers. Set print standards with the vendors and follow-up on print execution. Identify key vendor partners and agents who can handle multiple product categories. Build positive and growing relationships with key suppliers/agents. Drive home privacy and exclusivity with suppliers. Production: Implement and maintain production calendars. Maintain weekly Production WIPs. Enter product details such as price, size and weight into Shopify. Negotiate costing. Execute counter sourcing analysis as needed to ensure prices are competitive with the market. Receive/review buys and place orders with suppliers. Analyze shipping rates from DDP suppliers and compare against the market rates. Source freight forwarders for boat & air shipments. Gather packing lists and pass off to warehouse for receiving. Pushback on vendors who send inaccurate/untimely packing lists. Check new styles that arrive in the warehouse for quality, communicate issues to suppliers. Pass off feedback received from warehouse on incorrect/poorly packed goods to suppliers as needed.
