About Robin Kanakkithodi

I am a renewable energy enthusiast working towards an aim of liberating the world from the gasps of polluted energy. I truly believe that the first step towards the switch to clean energy is to reduce our energy demand. Having worked at a coal fired power plant, I witnessed both the advantages and disadvantages of non-conventional power sources and I want to contribute more towards producing greener and cleaner energy. In pursuit of this goal, I worked for Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd.’s(India) solar power plant as well as for the energy efficiency team at Eversource Energy. At Eversource, I reviewed electrical and mechanical systems for buildings and helped commercial and industrial customers implement energy efficiency measures. I enabled customers to realize tremendous energy savings while also cutting down on their carbon emissions. The realization that energy is an interdisciplinary field, dependent not only on technology but also on various aspects like financial planning, policies, customer psychology and sustainability, led me to pursue my masters in Energy Systems from Northeastern University. My goal is to help make the world energy efficient and provide clean and reliable energy to every human being. I am looking for opportunities to contribute to the fight against climate change.
