About Robin Hsin-Kuo Chao
Hi, there! Nice to meet you (virtually in a telepathic way)!I am a Materials Science PhD who has been working in semiconductor R&D for about 10 years. In past decade, I ventured into various fields in the industry and picked up different skills. I started as a metrology engineer and later being a team lead, which allowed me to engage metrology tool vendors for tool selection, qualification, and lead joined development projects that resulted in publications. After those years, my interest and role progressed to FEOL integration, specialized in GAA transistors innovations to improve yield and performance. Many resulted in patents filed. To make data-driven decisions, I familiared myself with data analytics and had opportunity leading a few projects in Cognitive Initiative to introduce basic machine learning algorithms to chip making. I had the privilege to take on a program manager role and work with talented senior managers to learn how to plan for success and the magic of effective communications. I partake in resolving issues among different teams, review program status to upper management, and partner company engagement. I\'m gracious for the opportunity given that I learned how to get smart people work together efficiently to success.Later I moved to west coast to be close to my family and continue to pursue technical advancement. I am given well-define projects to work with two different group of smart people to drive for denser and faster chip.I love working with people, and build both profession relationship and friendship. Meeting new people open me up to see the true colors of this world, and eliminates all biases that I didn\'t know was in me. I am also a lousy classic-rock guitarist, classical mystery and true crime reader, lazy traveler and a amateur picture taker (no confident enough to be a photographer.). If you read to this point, I can confidently tell that you have the greatest virtue - patience, with much success in life:D May one day we can also be friends in this small world!
