I\'m researching options for a community and business hub in Dorchester town centre to address local social, health, environmental and economic needs through multiple functions such as a community cafe, social supermarket, hot-desking and meeting space, tourist and resident information centre, toy library and a youth cafe. I\'m working on a business plan, case for support, funding options for a feasibility study as well as capital project, and a plan to engage local partners and people in its design and operation. It\'s great to be doing something practical and tangible in real life after a few years of remote working where I couldn\'t always see any direct positive impact. I\'m hopeful we may be able to bring back into use a heritage building and contribute to an improving Dorchester town centre.
