Rob is Director for Innovation and Digital Policy as the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET), a leading pan-African policy institute based in Accra, Ghana. He leads programs related to digital strategies, innovation ecosystems, digital infrastructure and skills development for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Rob has led ground-breaking initiatives such as the first AI challenge for regional infrastructure in Africa and the first multi-country analysis of industrial innovation policy on the continent. With partners institutions he has supported the EU/AU dialogue on African and helped to inform innovative COVID-19 responses.

We also conduct special studies on current topics with real impact on the transformation process, such as China’s activities in Africa. Upon request we help countries develop and implement their transformation strategies. To date, we have provided policy and institutional support to the governments of Ghana, Liberia, Mozambique, Rwanda, and Sierra Leone, with five more countries in the pipeline.
