I’m a global conservation and animal welfare leader with over 25 years’ experience turning vision into impact — creating sustainable, ethical, and educational experiences that inspire people to protect our oceans and wildlife.As Global Vice President of Conservation, Welfare & Education at Merlin Entertainments, I’ve led transformative initiatives including the world’s first Beluga Whale Sanctuary with the SEA LIFE TRUST — a pioneering project that proved collaboration, compassion, and science can deliver real-world change.Throughout my career, I’ve guided and inspired international teams of over 550 animal care specialists, biologists, and conservationists across 22 countries, fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and shared purpose. My work has focused on advancing global welfare standards, ethical sourcing, and conservation strategy, ensuring every aquarium and experience balances animal wellbeing with education and guest engagement.Beyond strategy, I’m deeply experienced in project development — from concept design to delivery. I’ve led the creation of over 40 new SEA LIFE aquariums globally, ensuring each one embodies the highest standards of welfare, guest experience, and operational excellence. My project leadership integrates creative design, technical innovation, and team development to deliver spaces that educate, inspire, and promote lasting change.I believe true conservation leadership is about connection — connecting people with animals, expertise with empathy, and organisations with shared values. I’m passionate about developing future leaders, strengthening partnerships, and driving sustainable progress that protects wildlife while inspiring the next generation to do the same.
