Mr. Houghton has built and operated several infrastructure and microfinance-based businesses throughout Africa and Asia including the first high-speed wireless communications network in Nairobi in bringing high-speed Internet to the business, educational, and local communities for the first time throughout Kenya. These global infrastructure projects were implemented and sold in concert with various private equity investors, MCP Global, and billionaire Robert Friedland. Robert races and breeds racehorses and is a licensed thoroughbred horseman in the State of New York.
