Responsible for the planning, management, overall budget and cost control for the global infrastructure of Canopius Group covering the development, maintenance, strategic improvement and modernization of the infrastructure that underpins all IT Services for the Canopius global estate. Working closely with the Enterprise Architect function – responsible for advising the Leadership Team on the strategic direction and priorities for future infrastructure operations. 2024/5 strategic focus includes:Azure Modernisation (Transforming legacy applications). Regionalisation (Moving storage / compute from a UK centric model to a distributed Azure topology with workloads hosted in the most suitable geographic Azure Region). Performance improvements (providing a faster and more resilient end user experience). Security (further improving our threat defence). Migration to SaaS services (where appropriate). Desktop and Virtual Desktop upgrades. Disaster Recovery Optimisation.
