I am very grateful to the Town of Smyrna for giving me so many opportunites to excel at my career in Finance. After graduating from Motlow State with a degree in accounting, the town hired me as an Accounting Clerk in 2021. in less than a year, they moved me up to full Accountant and now, just about a year later, I have been promoted to Financial Analyst. I have completed my CMFO training and am officially a Certified Municipal Finance Officer. The people I work with make all the difference. I appreciate the Finance team so much. This career move has been one of the best adventures of my life. While the music business can be a lot like a three-ring circus, between sales, media, and life on the road, it can also be a daunting task to keep it all straight. It is easy to get caught up in the glitz and glamour of it all, and I\'ve got some stories to tell.chaperoning rock stars around the country, Woodstock Midem Conference in Cannes, France, and a wild night of karaoke in Tokyo, however, it is a business. It turns out, even accountants can have some fun, but great stories are only a small part of the picture. I am a highly organized business professional with years of diverse responsibility. I am focused on my preferred skills in accounting, bookkeeping, and financial management. Resolute and a quick study, I have returned to school to gain a degree in Accounting to solidify my skill set. As a motivated self-starter, I work well independently and on teams with a high level of commitment and accuracy. I like to get it right the first time.I am skilled at initiating projects and following through, organizing data, researching solutions, studying problems, and writing and preparing reports, documents, and other communications. I enjoy data-driven analysis, creating spreadsheets, compiling data, and information from various sources to assess and evaluate projects from different perspectives. I have a strong ability to teach, tutor, and counsel and enjoy negotiating with vendors and strengthening and encouraging relationships. I possess a demonstrated ability to adhere to schedules reliably managing all deliverables and am adept at software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and easily adapt to new systems.

   In my role as an Analyst, I track, maintain, and reconcile the Town\'s Depreciation schedules for Fixed Assets, administrate the Town\'s Purchase Card program with Bank of America, manage the accounts payable functions for Impact Funds, and reconcile Court Bonds held and payable. I assisted in a difficult payroll processing software transition and act as the Town\'s backup payroll administrator. I routinely strategize with my team and other departments to develop best practices for new and sometimes difficult projects. I have enjoyed streamlining current processes and simplifying projects. I quite enjoy problem-solving and the detective work that goes into difficult reconciliations.
