About Robert Spragg
I am a graduate of Stanford University who is passionate about improving quality of life and accelerating our transition to a low-carbon economy. My current work is focused on enabling large commercial vehicle fleets to electrify by leveraging novel analytics tools and financing models. My past research experiences include decarbonization using district energy systems (thermal microgrids), improved state estimation of Li-ion batteries, and optimized EV charging given uncertain renewable generation and demand.While attending Stanford, I took courses on optimization, machine learning and decision-making strategies, data analytics, and the energy industry as a whole. Leveraging data is essential for making our built infrastructure more efficient and resilient. Furthermore, a solid grasp of the regulatory policies, political hurdles, and engineering concepts that can utilize this data is essential for implementing change.In my free time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors and advocating for improved transportation projects and housing policies in California and Illinois.
