As the acting Instrumental Chemistry Section Manager, I lead a 26-member team, including four supervisors and 22 analysts. My leadership is central to developing effective section policies, managing the annual budget, and presenting weekly progress reports to senior management. I directly supervise six analysts, overseeing the accurate environmental sample analysis using ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and mercury analyzers per EPA methods. My core duties include data review, batch approval, work scheduling, training, and conducting performance evaluations. I also play a key role in strategic initiatives such as special projects for NPDES permits, website development, and public outreach.
