Software entrepreneur and technologist with deep understanding of the application of artificial intelligence to the semantic deconstruction of documents. Twenty three years experience in the staffing industry, initially as a recruiter, then through growing Sovren as the global leader in recruitment intelligence components. Forty three years of programming experience.Specialties: Multi-lingual software, algorithmic data extraction, parsing, data mining, semantic searching and AI matching, whitebox AI, transparent AIWrote and deployed first system to receive and parse unstructured data, view it in a form remotely, edit it interactively, and save it back to a remote data store - in 1988, for what is now JP Morgan Chase. Wrote and sold the first system to parse and edit semi-structured or unstructured invoices over the internet, and save and store the data into a data store - in 1995 (for a publicly-held AMEX-listed corporation). Wrote and commercially deployed the first ATS that included both resume parsing and powerful searching - in 1996. Wrote the first commercially-deployed completely automated-no-human-intervention ATM check-cashing system (cash payroll checks at an ATM in seconds) in (for a publicly-held company). Wrote optical character recognition software, imaging libraries, printer drivers, legal mediation software, forms creation software, dozens of types of parsers, document converters, and even wrote software to invisibly remotely control other computers all commercially deployed.Self taught to read 25 languages (in the recruitment domain). Published author, photographer and documentary video producer, and winner of national writing awards and competitions. I
