ABOUT ROBERT D.
With over 10 years of experience in the financial services sector, I am passionate about promoting inclusion and opportunity in the workplace and beyond. As the BUK IO Manager at Barclays UK, I partner with the Chair of the BUK IO Council and other key stakeholders to execute and monitor the council\'s IO strategy and priorities, fostering relationships across the business, Group IO, and HR function. I am motivated by the opportunity to make a positive impact on the organisation’s culture, performance, and reputation, and to bring diversity of thought and experiences to the team.In my current role, I prepare the agenda and supporting papers for the BUK IO Council and any inward reporting to ExCo forums, tracking related actions and ensuring they are executed between meetings. I also develop recommendations in partnership with the Group IO team and the business areas accountable for the council\'s areas of focus. Additionally, I support the council members with their communication and engagement plans, and collaborate with them on various initiatives and projects. Some of the skills that I use and enhance in my role are career management, leadership, career development, and intercultural communication.
