I help companies navigate what happens when non-technical employees and traditional product managers start building software with AI, leading to shadow products that are ungoverned, unsupported, and invisible to leadership.AI coding tools have collapsed the cost and time to ship. Non-technical builders are spinning up apps without governance and without the product thinking that makes software actually work. They\'re building for happy paths, not edge cases. They\'re skipping security reviews and leaving PII exposed. They\'re not asking whether the tool solves a real business problem or whether anyone besides them could maintain it. When one of these apps quietly becomes critical to a team\'s workflow, all the knowledge of how it works lives in one person\'s head. Technical debt is accumulating in places leadership can\'t see.I\'ve spent years leading product at companies like The Home Depot, helping organizations translate strategy into shipped software. Now I apply that experience, plus hands-on work with AI tools like Claude Code and deep context engineering, to help companies figure out what AI actually means for how they build, govern, and scale their products.
