EASA Part-IS, NIS2, ICAO Annex 17 Amendment 18, FAA AC 119-1, and national transpositions across EU are reshaping how airlines, MROs, CAMOs, ATM/ANS, and aerodromes manage cyber risk. Compliance is no longer a documentation exercise. It is an operational capability.As Cybersecurity Engagement Director at Boeing Aviation Business Solutions (ABS), I lead the delivery of advisory engagements for aviation operators globally. I help teams translate Part-IS articles and NIS2 obligations into a working ISMS and ISMM, align security controls with ICAO Annex 17 and operator-specific threat profiles, and build programs that pass regulator scrutiny without collapsing on day one of audit.My background sits at the intersection of three worlds:Operator-facing cyber compliance. Fifteen years at Boeing building and managing cyber programs across EU, UK, and Middle East, including a DCMA DIBCAC Joint Surveillance Assessment where the environment scored 110/110 against NIST SP 800-171.Regulatory engineering. Master of Laws (LMG/01), Master II in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics and Data Protection, and active work on EASA Part-IS gap assessments and NIS2 cross-mapping for aviation entities.Executive governance. Including IS.I.OR.215 ISMM articulation, risk register, internal audit program, and management review cycles.3. NIS2 cross-mapping for aviation operators. Article 21 controls and Article 23 incident reporting integrated with Part-IS, avoiding duplicate governance.4. Supply chain security (IS.I.OR.225). Vendor due diligence, contractual clauses, and flow-down to subcontractors.5. Incident response governance and tabletop exercises specific to aviation environments.I publish on EASA, NIS2, ICAO, and aviation cyber signals.
