In my role as a Senior Director at CIBC Corporate and Private Credit Risk (CPCR), I am responsible for providing specialized expertise for the identification, measurement, and escalation of credit risk issues in relation to trading transactions with external entities, primarily non-bank financial institutions, as well as financing transactions on non-standard collateral with asset managers, private equity firms, and associated entities in relation to securitization transactions. My role also includes the development and maintenance of internal risk rating models, including corresponding guidelines and policy documents; as well as market research, ad-hoc analyses, risk monitoring enhancements, amongst other tools to support the line-of-business and improve the workflow of credit requests within appropriate risk parameters.
