About Roberto Mercado
Manager in the Baltimore Orioles Organization. Main focus to to create an elite learning environment for players and staff. Prior to getting into professional baseball, I was a Dean of Students dealing with discipline and counseling high school students since 2004 in one of the biggest High Schools in Connecticut. I\'ve also been coaching baseball since 2004. In 2011 I was hired as the head Coach at New Britain High School. Being an inner city school, I make sure all my players have an opportunity to play baseball at the next level or guide them in the college process regardless of baseball. I am also an assistant coach for the Yarmouth Dennis Red Sox in the Cape Cod Baseball League since 2014. I work with the hitters, outfielders and baserunning. I also assist in recruiting players, player development and coordinate community service with our program. I was also the head coach of the Goodwill Series in Australia and New Zealand in 2017 and 2018.
