ABOUT ROBERTO BORSANI
Roberto Borsani was born on 23rd, April 1959 in Lecco, Italy. He graduated as electronic engineer in Politecnico, Milano in 1989. During the university years he was a member of the Youth Movements of Liberal Party with the responsability for Internal school of Politics for the Youth section. After graduation he started his industrial career in ERC SpA and after several experiences in different managerial roles, became CEO in ERC SPA in 2004. In 2005 he led the project of relocation of the production unit in Argentina with the start-up of the local branch of ERC SpA in LatinoAmerica. Very active in several Associations he has been Vice-President of ASSIL (8 years) and Chairman of the European Association of lighting components (8 years) and President of CELMA, the European Lighting Federation in 2003 (1 years) and member of the CELMA Executive Board (3 years): Founder and President of Conelex, the Italian electrotechnical consortium for the export of ANIE (4 years). Since 2009 he started his managerial consultancy activity focused on business development, internationalisation and reorganization of companies. The latest consultancy experiences were focused on the creation of the European branch of an Indian company producing electrical steel for electric motors and power transformers and on transfer of know how of machineries in India. He is actually cooperating as CEO consultant for the reorganization of the whole management in CIEFFE a primary Italian company manufacturing components for furniture.
