ABOUT ROBERTO AGUIRRE
With over 16 years of experience in clinical research, I am a certified physician investigator (CPI) and certified clinical research professional (CCRP) who is passionate about advancing medical science and improving patient outcomes. I have conducted and overseen clinical trials across multiple specialties and phases, applying quality, innovation, and collaboration principles to every project. Most recently, I served as the Chief Medical Officer at hyperCORE International, a leading network of integrated research sites, from 2019 to 2023. In this role, I ensured the highest standards of clinical operations, safety, and compliance across all studies and sites, while also contributing to the strategic growth and development of the network. I partnered with sponsors, CROs, and other stakeholders in the clinical research ecosystem, leveraging my expertise and leadership skills. Before joining hyperCORE, I co-founded and led AGA Clinical, a multispecialty research facility in Ecuador and Miami, where I successfully conducted and participated in over 220 trials since 2005. I am also an active member of the leadership council at CNS Summit, a platform for advancing innovation and collaboration in CNS clinical research.
