About Robert Nelb

Health policy leader with a passion for supporting essential hospitals and the people they serve. I started my career at CMS implementing the Affordable Care Act and Section demonstrations to support safety net providers. Then, I worked as a principal policy analyst at the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission studying the complex patchwork of funding that supports the safety net. Now, at America’s Essential Hospitals, I’m ready to do my part to help address these longstanding challenges. I also enjoy mentoring others interested in health policy and recently served as an adjunct lecturer at the GWU Mullen School of Public Health.
