Hi, my name is Rob. I’m a well-rounded professional with a diverse career background, having gained experience in a variety of industries. I say well-rounded because I’ve been an accountant, auditor, buyer, and teacher. These experiences have allowed me to learn a lot about relationships with people on a personal and professional level. For example, my time in China as a teacher was an invaluable tool for becoming more comfortable not only with speaking to people individually and as an audience but also with finding creative ways to explain concepts to others and to think outside the box.Although I have worked in multiple fields, I am 100% focused on accounting related positions presently and for the rest of my career. Throughout my career, employers have quickly gained confidence in me and have added responsibilities often reserved for higher positions within the organization. In current and previous positions, I have built close working relationships with auditees, which has helped make them feel comfortable with audits and to realize positives from the engagement.While I take pride in work done at the office, I also have been dedicated to a strong interest in running and traveling. In addition to job-specific accomplishments that can be found in my resume upon request, here are some lifetime accomplishments that reflect my interests and dedication:• Financed entire post-secondary education by working late hours daily while studying and competing in athletics• 2nd place overall in 2003 Akron Marathon• Traveled to all 50 states• Made many good friends while living in China• 4th place in All-Ohio Cross-country championships while at UA - highest placing since 1963 by Akron runner
