In addition to teaching American History, I emphasize the importance of historical narratives in shaping national identity and public memory. I encourage students to consider not just historical events, but how those events are interpreted, communicated, and reframed over time. This approach helps students develop a deeper awareness of how historical storytelling — whether through textbooks, museums, or media — influences contemporary public understanding of the past. This focus aligns with my broader work connecting historical scholarship, public history, and modern communication strategies to ensure that history is both accessible and meaningfully framed for diverse audiences.
