Coromandel identified the opportunity to establish a firm that not only employs industry best practices but is also more aligned with its key principles. Lenders often gravitate to “going for the jugular” and attempting to procure the most advantageous terms in hopes of maximizing the extraction of fees without consideration for the Originator’s goals and hoping to lock them in for as long as possible with the most favorable terms possible. Coromandel aspires to do private credit differently. It realized it could positively differentiate itself amongst its peers by going-to-market with a more transparent, thoughtful offering consistent with its key principles and allowing its Originators to dynamically procure better terms. This approach is predicated on treating its Originators fairly and providing them with the support they need to execute on their business without having to worry about constantly raising capital.
