What am I about? Adding value by solving hard problems. I love tech; I love working to build leadership in groups aiming for a shared vision. I try to bring those together wherever I can. Best of all is when it\'s possible to build groups that share a vision for new technology or a new paradigm that they believe will add value for others.My history, I have worked in the computer networking industry since 1995 - Alcatel, Pliant Technologies, Cisco Systems - building embedded systems with occasional forays into network management systems. I\'ve spent most of my career working with and leading teams into high performance designs and implementations in C/C++, Java, and other development ecosystems across a variety of hardware platforms. Often I’ve found myself doing software “close to the metal”, and even gotten a foothold in mechatronics. Often I’ve helped groups develop a quality focus - the transition from we deliver fast to we deliver fast and reliably.More recently, my focus has been on team building with a local non-profit, The Forge Initiative, and as a consultant at Geode Insights, a local firm working with startup tech companies, cultivating individual growth and team dynamics to improve performance.
