With more than twenty years of experience supporting and securing IT environments across growing organisations, I have built a deep capability in infrastructure, cyber security management, and operational leadership. My recent achievement of both CISSP and CISM certifications reflects my commitment to advancing security maturity, strengthening governance, and enabling teams to deliver resilient, business aligned outcomes.My career has been shaped by roles where security, reliability, and scalability are essential. I have led technical and security teams, developed people through targeted mentoring, and closed skill gaps by creating environments where individuals can succeed. Whether guiding incident response, improving policy frameworks, or maturing risk management practices, I focus on empowering teams to operate confidently and effectively.Running my own IT consultancy sharpened my communication and stakeholder management skills. I prioritised clarity, customer satisfaction, and initiative-taking problem solving—translating complex technical and security requirements into practical, achievable solutions. My work has included advising on secure network and policy design, vendor selection, software testing, solution implementation, and hardware deployment, always ensuring that technology and security decisions align with real business capability.Earlier in my career at Virgin Health Clubs, I joined at the inception of the business and supported its expansion from 6 to 123 UK locations. This required secure, seamless integration of systems, data migrations, and the implementation of scalable solutions. I delivered significant operational improvements, including a 60% reduction in backup related costs through streamlined processes and updated technology.As IT Infrastructure Manager at National Express Group, Global IS Infrastructure Manager at Oxfam and Infrastructure Manager at British Red Cross, I collaborated with internal and external stakeholders across multiple disciplines. These senior roles demanded the ability to communicate complex technical and security concepts clearly, lead cross functional initiatives, and build strong, trust based relationships. I worked extensively across multi site environments, ensuring secure, reliable service delivery at local, national, and international levels.I bring together a solid foundation in IT operations with a strategic, certification backed focus on cyber security management.
