WORK HISTORY
Senior Software Engineer @Index Exchange
Architected the legally-required consent functionality for publishers to opt into marketplace deal activities • Spear-headed experiments drastically reduce sending our advertisers trillions of low value deals by measuring the level of IVP deal cannibalization on our exchange and how to enable deal throttling of lower performing deals • Ensured dozens of our publishers can continue analyzing their deals with full confidence monthly by orchestrating the migration of an unmaintained service from a legacy Kubernetes cluster to a more modern one • Increased ad revenue by enabling advertisers to target on both impression viewability and domain • Automated the removal of (~10%) of stale platform deals that would’ve participated in six trillion auctions and preserving our reporting pipeline from being hammered • Minimized revenue loss and discrepancies by developing a zero-downtime solution for core services using supervisord • Greatly improved alignment and consistency of our products and services by critiquing, approving, and contributing to over 20 policies and standardizing nomenclature for such policies thus far to our organizational-wide architectural design and developmental policy documentation • Initiated and currently coordinating the effort to centralize and modularize our CI/CD codebase in the Exchange Node space that has eliminated thousands of lines of duplicated and potentially dangerously out-of-sync code, and to make future changes simpler, more scrutinized and with more confidence. This is being used at scale in about ten different, core repositories
