About Robert Hartheimer

I’m a lifelong builder and problem-solver who has built a career at the intersection of banking, regulation, and financial technology. Over the past four decades, I’ve led, turned around, and advised institutions across the financial landscape. I’ve served as a founder, consultant, FDIC division director, investment banker, and independent board member. Today, I serve as CEO of Evolve Bank & Trust where we are building the most effective, technologically advanced BaaS and payments platform in the U.S, while strengthening our roots in community banking, trust, mortgage, and lending. Outside of Evolve, I serve as an independent board member for two companies, chairing audit committees at both, and leading compliance/risk and governance committees. My experience spans ten corporate boards, where I’ve helped shape oversight, risk, and regulatory strategy. I believe in daring greatly, leading with discipline, and building institutions that endure.
