About Robert Hope

Robert is a senior risk and control executive with a successful record for delivering complex large-scale transformational change and regulatory remediation programs at systemically important financial institutions. He has a diiverse set of skills and experiences that encompass first line risk management and control and second line risk functions, including operational, compliance and enterprise risk management. He possesses strong communication and relationship building skills with a proven ability to influence and manage change at all levels in large matrix environments. Robert currently leads a Risk and Control function at Wells Fargo. He manages a global team with responsibilities to develop and execute on strategies to identify risk, enhance controls, and secure the integrity of the control environment. Prior to this role, Robert led the Sales Practices risk management response to the well publicized regulatory actions against Wells Fargo. Prior to that, Robert was at Capital One where he lead efforts to enhance Enterprise Risk Management’s capabilities and help build out the Operational Risk Management function for the company. While at Bank of America, Robert was the Global Risk Compliance Executive where he led the management and execution of compliance related activities in support of bank wide priorities and key risks related to Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk and Credit Risk. He also served as the Deposit Product Management Executive with responsibility for managing the $40 Billion deposit portfolio, leading pricing and spread management decisions and driving $1.2 Billion in Net Interest Income for the Small Business segment. Additionally, he served as the Quality and Productivity Executive responsible for driving efficiency and effectiveness strategies in the Consumer Bank. Prior to joining Bank of America, Robert was with Accenture, GE Capital and PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he delivered results on a number of client engagements.
