Serves the Broward County Board of Commissioners, Administrator, and CFO to lead and administer the central procurement system. Supports key, enterprise-wide clients to provide contracts meeting all mission-essential needs. Clients include Transportation, Information Technology, Human Services, Environment and Health, Public Works (Water, Wastewater, Roads, Bridges, Traffic Engineering, Construction Management, etc.), Aviation (FLL-Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International), Port Everglades, Convention Center, and other agencies. Ensures compliance with Procurement Code, while leading the procurement organization to provide all contracted enterprise-wide products and services, through sourcing, solicitation, vendor selection, negotiations, and awards process. Collaborates with the Office of Economic and Small Business Development to help meet the County vision to ensure economic and business opportunities for businesses by increasing the economic strength and impact of revenue-generating County enterprises. Developing new procurement manual to update all policies, new procurement training and workforce certification program. Assists implement County PeopleSoft ERP eProcurement program (Strategic Sourcing, eSupplier, Supplier Contract Management), and leads a variety of high-impact procurement and workforce initiatives to benefit County leadership, all client enterprise agencies, and our citizens and residents.
