About Robert C. Bell
I have coached 100s of founders, startups, and executives all along the stages of their journey, from napkin sketches to companies doing $5B in annual revenue. I have been a founder, co-founder, adviser, partner, coach, consultant, and investor and I have been able to use my background in entrepreneurship, management, and engineering to bring a transparent and direct results-oriented approach to starting and growing companies. I have a technical background with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and I started my career as a consultant and in the field doing exploration and production of unconventional oil & gas. I designed and implemented Rocky Mountain Power\'s regional commercial and industrial energy efficiency program. Later I became one of the University of Utah\'s youngest Principle Investigators and Executive Director of the Energy Commercialization Center, one of five regional ecosystems sponsored by the Department of Energy. I was also the Metro Director for the Clean Tech Open and a director of the University\'s Foundry program. I founded a non-profit organization called Sustainable Startups in Utah that is dedicated to providing education and building a collaborative community for early-stage entrepreneurs. We started one of Utah\'s first coworking spaces and started hosting one of the first Kauffman Foundation\'s 1 Million Cups local chapters in Salt Lake.
