As Southeast Business Development Lead for HDR\'s Building Engineering Services Business Group, I pull upon my 27+ years of engineering and management experience to connect HDR\'s Building Engineering Services and greater HDR services to provide design solutions for the following market sectors: Commercial Real Estate, Technology/Media/Telecom (e.g. Data Centers), Finance, Hotel, Leisure & Entertainment. I work hard and believe the best projects result from partnerships between clients and designers working closely with the community.Background: I am a Professional Engineer Licensed in the States of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland. I have steadily grown in my career path as an Engineering in Training for a small Engineering and Surveying firm in Gastonia, NC gaining my Professional Engineering license after four years. I then obtained my MBA and grew from a Project Engineer to the Charlotte Office Manager and Director of Civil Engineering of a civil engineering and landscape architecture consulting firm. In 2012 I joined HDR to start a site civil section in our East Region Design Center. Over 7 years, my passion was growing this start up civil group and hiring top talent for this group and mentoring them to become the best they can be with a positive attitude and challenging work ethic. The team grew from 4 to 23 in that time. In late 2019, I became the assistant manager of this multi-discipline design center. In 2021, after Hurley Palmer Flatt joined HDR, we became the newest HDR Business Group - Building Engineering Services, and with it my position became South Atlantic Area Business Group Assistant Manager, with a focus on client development. As our new market sectors have gained traction, I am now the Southeast Business Development Lead with an interest in growing new market sectors for HDR including: Corporate Commercial, Financial, Hotel/Leisure/Entertainment and Technology/Media/Telecom as well as collaborating with our other Business Groups to grow our footprint in the southeast.
