Member of the Composites, Structures and Tractive Systems groupsFor OBR26 I started the season in August after my placement designing the new chassis to be used for 2026 Formula Student season. I surfaced the outer profile considering factors such as- Packaging of major components- Aerodynamics- Optimising Geometry for the FS structural equivalency spreadsheet- Reducing Mass- CoG location- Ease of ManufactureAfter the completion and release of the chassis, I moved onto the new battery casing for OBR26 designing around the module design and control electronics. I also took responsibility for the structural work and designing to the accumulator structural equivalency spreadsheet.
