I\'m managing a team of product owners in the Intelligent Conversation and Communications Cloud (IC3) division. IC3 develops the calling and messaging infrastructure technology for Teams, Skype, and Azure Communications Services. My team is accountable for real-time communications and AI, i.e, we define the strategy on how to deliver new user experiences for audio, video, and screen sharing using traditional signal processing as well as leveraging cutting edge machine learning models. This includes being the guardians of fundamentals in Teams meetings such as call quality, reliability, and performance. In addition to product improvements we also define the roadmap to develop tools for IT admins to detect and troubleshoot issues which are outside of Microsoft\'s control such as the customer\'s network infrastructure. My team\'s goal is to make Microsoft Teams the best tool for online meetings not just in terms of \"it just works\" but also by adding features which can be proven to improve meeting inclusiveness and effectiveness so that online meetings can be as good or better than face-to-face meetings.
