About Roberta Carrow Jackson
As Multimedia Content Manager for Visit The Northshore, I manage digital content and communications to support tourism and community engagement. I oversee VisitTheNorthshore.com — including its event calendar, blog, and partner listings — ensuring information is accurate, engaging, and up to date. I developed and lead our guest blogger program to bring a diversity of local voices to our storytelling, and I manage email communications for both consumers and partners. I serve as Associate Editor of our award-winning The Northshore visitor guide, contribute original content, and write the Northshore Soundtracks music column. I also co-produce our All The Waves podcast, oversee our Community Murals initiative, and serve on the board’s Social Inclusion Committee, which developed the Every Wave Welcome allyship program. I am also expanding into grant development to secure funding for future tourism and placemaking initiatives, drawing on past experience in proposal writing and recent training through The Grantsmanship Center. I serve additionally as Film Commissioner for St. Tammany Parish, acting as liaison between the film industry and local governments to assist with permitting, logistics, and impact reporting. Throughout my career — at Visit The Northshore, St. Tammany Parish Government, and the St. Tammany Art Association — I’ve built strong relationships with local partners, tourism stakeholders, and the creative community to promote St. Tammany Parish as a vibrant destination and an “Easy Escape,” with a focus on meaningful storytelling, cultural integrity, and community impact.
