About Roberta Wain Becker
Celebrating our 23rd Anniversary year since founding of Golden Gate Opera, in 2017 we achieved the West Coast premiere of an Anti-Bullying opera for young people, Menotti\'s \"The Boy Who Grew Too Fast\". In fall 2018 GGO brought this to 7 Elementary schools. In 2019:\"EMANCIPATION!\" is coming. An opera about Lincoln and his African American Connections, has been in development since 2012, and in 2019 will be an In-School Anti Racial Prejudice opera program for the older students. OUR MISSION: Golden Gate Opera\'s mission is to enrich our community by showcasing the many fine arts found in live opera with professional performances in theatres and unusual locations too. GGO inspires people of all ages and backgrounds to appreciate the arts, life and learning through quality performances and educational programs.\"Are there still seats for the Sunday matinee?\" he asked anxiously?\"I miss you guys, and when I heard you were doing Madama I knew we had to be there!\" 2014 -Roberta Wain Becker - I want to share how experiencing the arts can light up lives for people of any age. I have been doing this by producing exciting, inspiring productions and giving singers,professional musicians, designers and directors a nurturing environment when we work on creating an opera. My objective is to share what I\'ve learned about running an opera company with music students or opera students who might like to pursue arts administration as a career and present risign stars. I would like a music student or opera student to materialize as our unpaid intern, assist me through the next year and learn the business. Also my objective is to enjoy life by the way.
