ABOUT ROBERTA SCHELLINO
I am an Assistant Professor in Human Anatomy at the University of Torino, Italy. I work at the NICO - Neuroscience Institute Cavalieri Ottolenghi, Università degli Studi di Torino, Italy. I am focused in motor system (neurodegenerative) diseases and repair. In particular, I am studying the cellular/molecular pathways involved in the pathogenesis of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) disease, in cortex and spinal cord, and in the integration and differentiation of human telencephalic progenitor cells into striatal neurons, in a model of Huntington disease. I also work on counteracting sarcopenia in the elderly and on the effect of green environment on mental health. https://nico.ottolenghi.unito.it/team/roberta-schellino/
