ABOUT ROBERTA MORAN
I am a 2021 summa cum laude graduate of Furman University with a B.S. in Neuroscience. Currently, I work in the Addiction Research Center at Prisma Health as a Research Coordinator. In the Fall of 2022, I will begin an independent research project in Lisbon Portugal, investigating a novel diagnostic technique for Alcohol Use Disorder that utilizes bio-sensing technology to assess behavioral response in individuals exposed to alcohol-related virtual reality environments. Ultimately, I plan to pursue a degree in Clinical Psychology to help advance our understanding of —and consequently our ability to treat— addiction and mental illness.
