I\'m a long-standing reporter at the Financial Times. Since September 2019, I\'ve been acting Home Affairs Correspondent, covering immigration, policing and other key public policy issues. In 2021, I was shortlisted for the Orwell Prize for Exposing Britain\'s Social Evils for my FT Weekend Magazine piece about the fate of escaped Filipino domestic workers in the UK: Prior to that in the last few years, I\'ve had stints covering employment, transport and Home Affairs and working in the lobby as a politics reporter.
