Developer of the Care-Centric Modeling approach to nurse staffing and scheduling that puts patients first and provides a more holistic view of the nursing budget process and a greater understanding of the importance of replacement time and how it supports nursing care delivery, the mental health of our caregivers via time off, and the education needed to ensure the competency of our workforce. I am a board-certified informatics nurse with 25 years of experience in nursing informatics. For the past 23 years, my focus has been on nurse staffing and scheduling, nursing budgets, and nursing productivity. I have recently uncovered a long-standing, flawed nursing budget process in use by many facilities that increases a facility’s risk of understaffing. I\'m available as a legal nurse consultant to provide expert assessment, input, and testimony on staffing and scheduling aspects of medical malpractice cases.
