I began in complex financial accounting, specializing in derivatives and IPO filings. That foundation in regulatory complexity led me to Amazon, where I discovered that the same problems appear everywhere: global rules-based systems that don\'t reflect modern risks, complexities, and opportunities.Today I lead technology organizations for safety and compliance in Amazon\'s Stores business. Previously, I founded and led the tech team for AWS Trade and Product Compliance, working directly with regulators and enterprise customers to build scalable solutions.My background combines deep regulatory expertise across multiple domains (SEC, trade compliance, product safety) with proven ability to build and scale technology organizations in high-growth environments. I understand both the \"what\" of compliance and the \"how\" of building products that actually work. I believe that nearly every compliance regime - from trade and product safety to security to financial reporting - must reimagine how we use technology to make the world safer, more transparent, and more sustainable.
