Since 1996 I have worked in three different correctional institutions around the state. Garden State Youth Correctional Institution, Northern Region Pre-Admissions Unit, Sea Girt Correctional Officers Training Academy, & Northern State Prison. I served as an academy instructor for the department where I participated in training 4 academy cycles. I have received several certifications & commendations throughout my career. I was assigned to the September 11th detail where I worked with several outside agencies during this tragedy. I was assigned six months to this detail where I was recognized several times for my performance with commendations specific to this task. I was part of the departments initial intelligence committee in 1997 where the NJDOC opened it\'s first Security Threat Group Management Unit. I opened the unit and worked closely with maintaining intelligence for gang activity. I currently assist with the department\'s Threat Suppression Team which deals with Security Threat Groups & Gangs.
