I am a Strategic Projects Manager specialising in how we tackle the Digital Skills Crisis. I spend time researching, co-designing and conducting learning activity for our young people so that they can positively approach a rapidly changing world. I have been a Headteacher in two of Sheffield’s schools and went on to advise schools on how to extend their learning offers outside traditional teaching hours. As a Local Government Officer, I have always run projects and programmes that mix the public and private sectors. More recently I have worked with larger Tech players and others in developing our Digital Skills Action Plan which co-ordinates and focusses the digital skills response for our learners in Sheffield. This includes close partnership work with businesses ranging from Micro-enterprises to SMEs through to BT, IBM and Google. My passion has always been around Digital Skills Development and the implications for future actions that Tech has on our world. Chosen Specialist Subjects: • Successfully managing projects from inception, through development, delivery and review. • Achieving strategic goals for public and private sector organisations. • Understanding communities through using Educational Settings as a springboard. • Evaluation report writing and analysing data. • Continuous appetite for learning. • Understanding funding streams and devising appropriate systems which withstand detailed audit scrutiny. • Bid writing and securing external investment. • Understanding and securing best value for money. • Sports Coaching. • Playing the Classical Guitar (especially Villa-Lobos and Tarrega) • Playing the Piano
