Principal software engineer experienced with several different programming languages. I currently work primarily on a LAMP stack using Perl, MySQL (and Postgres) and Apache. I enjoy both low level system work as well as high level object oriented library abstractions. I am also comfortable with frontend languages including raw HTML, JS and CSS as well as libraries such as jQuery (and UI), ExtJS, Boostrap. I have previous experience in a number of other programming languages from the common (C/C++, Python, Java) to the esoteric (Mozart/Oz, Lisp) providing me with the ability to more easily learn and understand additional languages and frameworks.I have a Master\'s degree in Computer Science with a specialty in the area of statistical natural language processing and machine learning techniques.
