About Robert Treadway

I am a Wake Forest University graduate with a focus on clinical research and wilderness medicine. While at Wake Forest, I completed clinical research with youth athletes, analyzing the biomechanics behind head impacts at the Virginia Tech – Wake Forest University Center for Injury Biomechanics as a research intern. Through this experience, I gained valuable skills in clinical research, patient interactions, and project management. I have developed leadership, fundraising, and interpersonal skills as the Senior Director of Hit The Bricks as well as an Alumni and Engagement Committee co-chair. In this role, I led and facilitated the campus-wide running challenge raising $200K annually to support ground-breaking cancer research in North Carolina. I have gained extensive experience in emergency medical situations in the backcountry wilderness of the Rocky Mountains while on the Infirmary Staff at Philmont Scout Ranch, where I assessed patients in critical condition and facilitated their transport to a higher level of care through hiking, litter carries, and over the road transport. Trained youth and adults on the intricacies of wilderness medicine and care through lectures and demonstrations. Currently, I facilitate comprehensive clinical research projects at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital as a Clinical Research Technician with the Anesthesiology Department. In July of 2024, I look forward to beginning my medical journey at the Wake Forest School of Medicine as a part of the Class of 2028!
