Managing the preparation of commercially advantageous competitive / negotiated tenders within the Rail industry.Working closely with affiliate companies and external contractors in Joint Ventures to minimise gaps or overlaps, establishing Minimal Viable Product and Best for Project, considering risk and opportunity, and efficiencies.Preparing compliant all-inclusive rates and sample project estimates in support of Framework Tender Submissions; single discipline and multidiscipline.Preparing and negotiating compliant estimates for existing Framework Contracts.Updating tender processes and strategies in conjunction with the Head of Estimating, reviewing template workbooks to ensure consistencies, and investigating alternative estimating packages Updating supplier strategies and template sub-contract enquiries in conjunction with Project Teams and Procurement Managers.Mentoring Estimators and undertaking Peer ReviewsWorking with Project Teams on awarded Contracts to incorporate any lessons learnt from a Tendering perspective and ‘close the loop’.Tenders ranging in value from £25k to >£1Bn.Clients include Network Rail, HS2 and Outside PartiesUndertaking Management and Leadership Training, including Project Management - Filtered (VR iLearn), Managers’ Toolkit – Full Programme (VR iLearn) and Exercising Leadership - Foundational Principles (HarvardX)
