Based in Mid Wales, Riversimple is a vehicle manufacturer at the forefront of the development and production of ‘next-generation’ electric vehicles.Our first car, the Riversimple Rasa, uses hydrogen to make electricity on-board; it has a 300 mile range and does the equivalent of 250mpg. Rasas are quick and easy to refuel, approx. 3 ~ 5 mins at a pump, and are great fun to drive (Hydrogen pumps are few and far between at the moment but are being installed slowly and steadily across the country).Our purpose is “To pursue, systematically, the elimination of the environmental impact of personal transport”.To achieve this, our cars have been designed from scratch to deliver a step change in fuel efficiency and environmental performance. They are powered by hydrogen, built with lightweight but strong composite materials. The Rasa weighs less than half as much as a conventional car, is highly aerodynamic and stable and uses regenerative braking to recover over 50% of kinetic energy when braking.Riversimple intends to offer the cars on subscription rather than sell them. We have created a simple pricing structure that enables customers to take a Rasa and pay a single monthly service fee that covers everything - the car, the maintenance, the insurance and the fuel.
