About Robert Gunter

Robert is a licensed professional and structural engineer at SGH with experience in structural design and analysis. Robert has collaborated on reinforced concrete and steel framed residential and commercial buildings including multiple modular (off-site construction) projects. Robert has also collaborated on multiple investigation projects including but not limited to the following: structural failure due to thermal expansion; structural collapse due to extreme wind events; corrosion-related steel failure; cracked concrete due to building settlement; multiple non-destructive testing (NDT) methods; a variety of concrete repair projects related to the presence of ASR, carbonation, chlorides, and/or corrosion; and many others. Robert is familiar with and proficient in multiple analysis and design computer programs such as ETABS, RISA, and STAAD.Pro. Robert has research experience in the in-situ load testing and rating of prestressed concrete bridges. Robert is involved in a variety of industry organizations with active commitments to SEAMW and ASTM. Robert completed both his bachelors and master\'s in structural engineering at Clemson University.
